𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐲-𝐞𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 benefitted from Cycle 1 of Project 𝐈.𝐌.𝐏.𝐀.𝐂.𝐓. Under the tutelage of fifty eight instructors, students were exposed to lessons in physical education, numeracy, literacy and creative writing. They were also given opportunities to expand their knowledge in areas of drumming, electrical installation, visual and creative arts, table setting, baking, sucker bag preparation, tie dye jerseys and table cloths, dancing, drumming, craft, journal writing, plumbing, introduction to spanish, culinary arts and music (recorders and steel pan).
The long-term performance enhancement project aimed at improving students’ competencies was created to assist students who scored
a) 0-30% at the 2022 SEA exams
b) 31-50% at the 2022 SEA exams
c) Prospective Standard 5 students who are deemed at risk based on their Mathematics and English Language scores at their End of Year Exam.
The Secretary, Assemblyman Zorisha A. Hackett and Assistant Secretary, Councillor Orlando Kerr are pleased with the efforts made by all stakeholders to ensure the successful completion of Cycle 1.
